Horse Power. The latest campaign for Stella McCartney’s Winter 2023 collection starring Kendall Jenner taps into the model and the designer’s love of equines and the healing properties of the relationship between humans and horses.

The collection was presented during Paris Fashion Week at France’s oldest riding school, the historic Manège de l’École Militaire. Models sporting the collection’s equestrian-inspired fashions shared the runway with beautiful white horses provided by renowned horse whisperer and rescuer Jean-Francois Pignon.
The Winter 2023 collection is a celebration of love all the things that Stella loves; relationships between mothers, daughters, sisters, nature, humans and animals. Both Stella and Kendall grew up around horses and have had life long relationships with these sensitive and majestic animals.
McCartney’s family raised American Appaloosas and her mother, photographer Linda McCartney, often photographed horses.
Kendall, who owns a ranch, has been riding since she was a child.
The founder of the brand, stated, ‘Kendall, like me, has been riding since she was young and had her own ranch, so she loves horses as much as I do and you can see how comfortable she is around these sensitive creatures and how much she loves them.’ She further added that capturing this connection can infuse vitality into fashion and vision through magic.
The collection itself features vegan products, bags made from apple waste, riding boots made using grape waste, and bags made from the new Mirum leather alternative that uses fungi mycelium. With the ready-to-wear pieces using 92% conscious materials, it’s Stella McCartney’s “most responsible winter offering to date”.

The healing power of horses is used by equine-assisted therapy, which supports both adults and children with mental health struggles. This is shown to improve confidence, calmness, communication, resilience and positivity amongst 70% of kids who receive it.
