I’m happy to have discovered paper artists Zim and Zou, aka Thibault Zimmermann and Lucie Thomas, and their 80s Objects Made of Paper, thanks to an interview in Don’t Panic
80s Objects Made of Paper
The French Graphic Design studio proposes a contemporary approach of design thanks to a mix of different fields such as paper sculpture, installation, graphic design and illustration. Their latest project, Back to Basics, features retro products made of cut paper. Bright colorful paper crafted into icons from the 80’s such as Polaroid cameras, giant clunky Motorola phones, floppy disks, Sony Walkman, cassettes and more.

Since this initial post about the talents of Zim an Zou, their projects and craft has grown into impressive window installations for luxury brand Hermes such as this Fox Den of Paper and Leather and this Paper Jungle with Leather Animals.
