The Design Director of San Franscisco’s Y Studios, Pittsburgh born George Schnakenberg III, (who we were very saddened to learn tragically passed away in 2014 – four years after this post was originally written)* still gets our vote for the best Halloween costume we’ve seen in years.

Banksy Flower Thrower Halloween Costume

With ample design skills and impressive execution, George turned one of stencil street artist Banksy‘s most famous works, The Flower Thrower, into a full costume designed to emulate the 2D image.

Throughout the Halloween evening, George had photos of himself taken with various friends and in various environments (please note, I have cropped and adjusted the lighting and levels on some of these images for greater visibility):

George even made up his face to emulate the stencil art:

You’ve set the bar really high and we can’t wait to see what you do next Halloween.

*Tragically, George passed away in July of 2014 at the age of 38 two months shy of the birth of his first child. He leaves behind his wife Joanne, beautiful baby daughter Nova and many sad colleagues friends and family –  Myself included.
