You my recall my post about “chocolatexture”, the 2015 creation by Japanese design firm nendo that was based on the theme of chocolate but with diverse textures and different tastes created from those distinctive textures.

What was perceived through the chocolatexture design was that although “eating” is generally thought of as one action, actually the taste is recognized after going through various procedures such as “place on top of the tongue”, “bite”, “roll inside the mouth”, “melt” and “swallow”.

Now they have designed the “chocolatexturebar” – a single bar of chocolate whose surface is divided into 12 faces each with diverse texture.
By tasting each face with the tongue, where one can enjoy a new taste dimension that is unlike any other conventional chocolates.
The different three dimensional patterns that create the textures are stripes, dots, zigzags, checkered patterns and wave patterns.
There are 5 different chocolate flavors – milk, strawberry, white, bitter and matcha.

Yet another chocolatexture product from nendo is the chocolamixture, a combination of various flavours can be mixed into flask-shaped chocolates. 5 different flavours – freeze dried mango and raspberry, popping candy that bursts in your mouth, 3 coloured heart-shaped sugar and chocolate puffs with a unique texture – are contained in the miniature-size test tubes. The lids of chocolate of flask are made of white chocolate that has been fumigated to develop a cork colour.
