Fin Bec Winery Invites 8 Artists To Paint Special Labels

 

On a beautiful sunny day in Sion, the wine region of southern Switzerland, eight graffiti and street artists from all over the world gathered for a fun project. Each artist was given a “canvas” made up of 84 wooden wine cases and asked to create an artful interpretation of any wine out of the myFINBEC collection. The final images produced by each of the eight artists are featured on the label of the bottles of their choosing which are sold by the half-case. (more…)

Global Inheritance invited 100+ artists to decorate recycling bins for their for The Coachella Music & Arts Festival 2012. The entire collection was exhibited at the Lab Art Gallery in Los Angeles prior to being rolled out at the festival. After the festivals, these redesigned recycling bins will be donated to schools in Southern California. (more…)

If you’re not aware of the latest art movement, Yarn Bombing, just start looking around. Yarn Bombing is a cozier version of street graffiti. Sometimes referred to as Grandma Graffiti, it is the guerilla crocheting of buildings, bike racks, stairs, statues, trees, lampposts and more are covered with crochet or knitting by various artists. This video was part of Andreas Heikaus’ Bachelor thesis at the University of Applied science and art in Hannover, Germany. In his project, the Super Mario Bros. game, released on SEGA’s Nintendo Entertainment System, is no longer bound to the television screen and becomes interactive in a new environment. (more…)
