Budweiser’s Moving Tribute To Jeter’s Number 2
Budweiser’s latest two-minute TV ad is a stirring tribute to Derek Jeter, aka The Captain, who retired from the game in 2014. The Yankees will be retiring his number (2) this weekend and in this two minute montage we see people “retiring” numbers 2’s all around New York City.
It’s a moving and visually captivating way to honor the 20 years he wore the stripes.
The spot was created by VaynerMedia, and will is running on Budweiser’s social channels and in paid digital.
“I’m honored MLB and Budweiser chose to celebrate my jersey retirement this way, and I’m really looking forward to being back at Yankee Stadium this weekend,” Jeter said in a statement provided by Budweiser.
