The 52nd Grammy Photos – The Ones That Matter… The Fashions.

Fashions from the 52nd Grammy Awards

So, by now you know who was music to everyone’s ears at the 2010 52nd Annual Grammys. If you don’t, just check any news site or the official Grammy site.

Rather than run through every performance, all the nominees, tributes, blah blah blah…, I’ve chosen to shown you Fashions from the 52nd Grammy Awards. Photos from last night’s event that were the most significant, memorable, beautiful and just plain bizarre. Of course, I had to include the best dressed and the biggest fashion fiascos, too.

Lady Gaga (looking suspiciously like the offspring of milk’s Rock God White Gold and Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider) in her duet with Elton John

In short, Beyoncé was the big winner (Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Kings of Leon and Black-Eyed Peas also took home multiple awards) and there were some seriously star-studded duets; Lady Gaga and Elton John, Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks, Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli, to name a few.

The outfits for the onstage performances were a wild mix of styles, colors, materials or lack thereof:

Love was shown for Haiti and Neil Young. There was a moving Michael Jackson tribute, Bon Jovi sang Living On A Prayer (as chosen by the public) and the unexpected introduction of Pink as an aerialist in addition to being a singer.

But what about music to your eyes? Who wore what – and in some cases, why? There were some real visual cacophonies on the red carpet along with some harmonious ones.

Over the years, my Grammy posts have moved further away from the music and more toward the fashion (the music almost always rocks and is easy to find), hopefully gratifying the visually driven short-attention span blog audience.

Here’s the past two years:
• 2009 Grammys. Good Tunes But God-awful Garb.
• The 50th Grammy Run Down. Complete with pics.
