For the past several years, the piazza in London’s Covent Garden has featured an annual LEGO Christmas build by Duncan Titmarsh and Bright Bricks. This year, it’s a life-sized Santa and his workshop, complete with Merry Elves.
Santa’s Workshop made of LEGO bricks
Titmarsh, who also created the LEGO window displays and adverts for John Lewis this season, is the UK’s only LEGO Certified Professional.
Duncan and his Bright Bricks team took over three months to build the Santa’s Workshop made of LEGO bricks – 700,000 of them.
In addition to Santa and his elves, the workshop includes a Lego fireplace, toy assembly line, wall art and even milk and cookies for Santa.
The model is on display in Covent Garden through December 29th
In 2013, I did a story on the 2013 Giant Snow Globe filled with LEGO landmarks of London by Duncan.
Other past creations for Covent Gardens included a full size LEGO train, The Santa Express, and a full size LEGO Santa Sled with LEGO Reindeer and a LEGO Advent calendar (shown below).
