The Roof Tiles Lamp by designer Luis Nascimento is a felt-covered suspension lamp inspired by the ceramic tiled roofs that are a common feature of Portuguese architecture.
Roof Tiles Lamp
The ceramic tile roofs that dot the urban landscape of Portugal from above were the inspiration for this interesting indoor suspension lamp design.
Composed of inclined planes, the roof tiles in Portugal function are to protect and comfort the homes in the area.
The lamp was inspired by these terracotta colored ceramic tiles and has been crafted of bent metal, which is then covered with hand-sewn Burel felt.
