Designed by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba of Palomba Serafini & Associates for Zanotta is their new take on the lounge chair. The Rider is a roomy indoor chair that combines a rocking motion with natural leather and a quilted cushion.

Rider Chair for Zanotta

The Rider chair for Zanotta is the result of a search for a new archetype. It’s the synthesis of a type of chair usually made of several components but expressed as a single unit with a rocker motion.

A balance between craftsmanship and technological sophistication, it has a rigid polyurethane shaped core padded with polyurethane of variable thickness, upholstered completely by hand in natural leather, stitched and formed onto the seat. Various color options are available for both the leather upholstery and the cushion cover.

The resulting saddle shape is softer and its quilted patterned cushion makes it more inviting. The cushion with a narrow lozenge pattern is secured to the frame but has a removable fabric cover for washing. A cylindrical headrest cushion is available as an accessory, also with a fabric cover.

The Rider chair for Zanotta is a tilting lounge chair that not only outlines your personal space, but also creates a cocoon-like area in which the you can luxuriate in comfort.
