If you live in the United States, chances are you are aware of the natural phenomenon that occurred today – a total solar eclipse, frequently referred to as the “Great American Eclipse”, was visible within a band called The Path of Totality across the entire contiguous United States passing from the Pacific to the Atlantic coast.

Of course, I could share with you photos of the Solar Eclipse, but those can be found everywhere – including directly from NASA. For me, it’s the photos of people watching the eclipse – enthusiastically enjoying the experience – that I find so very interesting and entertaining.

I scoured Instagram today to find my personal favorite photos of people, their kids, neighbors and pets -even goats- enjoying nature’s 2017 phenomena in their own way. Some are sweet, some are funny and some are just beautiful. Each photo I chose reveals a glimpse into the lives of total strangers, affected by the eclipse, from coast to coast. And I love them. I hope you do, too.
