Marc Newson CL Curio 7×21 Binoculars
Industrial designer Marc Newson‘s CL Curio 7×21 binoculars for Swarovski Optik prove that small, compact and handy need not be ugly. Quite the opposite, in fact. The stylish new binoculars in either Black or Burnt Orange are as aesthetically pleasing as they are functional.
The CL Curio 7×21 are not only compact and convenient, but are intuitive to use, combining excellent viewing comfort with unrivaled optical performance. With a magnification of 7, they have a viewing field of 405 ft (135 metres) and work in climates from 31 to 131 degrees Farenheit.
Weighing only 8.2 ounces (250 grams), the stylish binoculars are only 3.7″ wide and only 1.7″ in height, with a seamless hinge and bridge design that hide the internal mechanism when deployed.
Marc says of the aesthetically discreet binocular “like all things that appear to be simple, the binoculars are incredibly complex to engineer”, especially due to the compact scale.
Produced in black and burnt orange, the CL Curio 7×21 is priced at $932.
