Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things
At tonight’s Golden Globes, black attire was the preferred dress. As a statement of resistance and/or a show of support for what is being called a movement, celebrities chose to wear all black and are posting photos and statements on social media tagged with #TIMESUP and #whyiwearblack.
Celebrities in Black at the 2018 Golden Globes
Fed up with everything from non-equitable pay to abuse, women -and men- at the 75th Golden Globes Award Ceremony used fashion as a way to show that they will no longer put up with tolerating the discrimination of women and all other marginalized people. Good thing they chose black, everyone looks great in black.
Pins stating “TIME’S UP” were seen on many a lapel. Those are now available for pre-order here.
Here are several of the celebrities in black at the 2018 Golden Globes.
