This large single family house, 36SML Beach House, designed by New York architecture firm LevenBetts is far from your typical waterfront bungalow. The home redefines single family living by breaking up the interior and exterior spaces into three parts. Designed as a three-spoked home with three yards- each for a specific activity – it also includes multiple sun decks, an amphitheater and views of the ocean. Portugal’s Cabo de Vila House by Spaceworkers

Cabo de Vila House in Paredes, Portugal was designed by Spaceworkers as a house for a young couple that wanted a house that didn’t look like a regular house. The location give them the central idea for the project. They wanted a shape that could fill the void left by the valley and at the same time they wanted a new shape to embrace and reflects the surrounding green areas, giving its residents a special perspective on the landscape. No Limits: Alexandre Arrechea’s Distorted Architectural Landmarks

In 2013, a series of ten large sculptures of steel and aluminum were installed on New York’s Park Avenue Malls by Cuban artist Alexandre Arrechea. The installations transformed and distorted several of the city’s architectural landmarks and monuments that when built represented the power of their patrons as well as the prowess of the architects. The project titled “No Limits” was also accompanied by the artist’s watercolors and smaller versions of the sculptures inspired by the project. Read more

FISHER ARCHitecture Green Pre-Fab Prototype in Pittsburgh

The beautifully designed Irwin Studio by Pittsburgh’s Fisher Architecture is a functioning prototype that was built onsite, but designed in such a manner that future productions can be pre-fabricated and crane-delivered.
