Have you see the beautiful promo portraits for the upcoming tv series, Ryan Murphy’s FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans? Premiering on January 31st, the upcoming second installment FX miniseries tells the story of acclaimed writer Truman Capote and the group of high-society women who took him into confidence, only to be betrayed by the homunculus author.
The Swans Promo Portraits
Once a confidante to society’s most elite women, whom he nicknamed “the swans,” Capote effectively destroyed those relationships and was banished from high society which sent him into a spiral of self-destruction from which he would ultimately never recover. With Murphy at the helm, the show will likely feature more drama and backstabbing than any of the original Housewives series.
Portraying the East Coasts’ most elite women in the series, celebrities Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, Chloë Sevigny, Calista Flockhart, Demi Moore and Molly Ringwald represent women whose names are etched in our culture as a result of wealth, style and connections; Lee Radziwell, Babe Paley, CZ Guest, Joanne Carson, Ann Woodward and Slim Keith.
The Fox network/ Hulu have been promoting the upcoming miniseries with fabulous portraits of each of the main characters. Complete with extensive retouching and airbrushing (and, I’m betting, a bit of AI), pale skin, deep red lips and nails, the portraits are a stunning throwback to the age of glamour. Upswept hair and extra long necks are wrapped in black swans and little black dresses, punctuated by diamond jewelry.
I was unable to locate any photographers and/ or stylists responsible. Like I said earlier, possibly created by AI.
