Tired of being cooped up during a pandemic and optimistic about the quarantine vaccinations and future, attendees rebelled against Comfys and stained t-shirts in favor of bold, bright and skin-baring. There were some disappointments, though. Glenn Close’s beaded tunic would have been acceptable had she not used the black netting or had the tunic cut up further. Marlee Matlin’s Medieval Princess sweep-the-floor sleeves and Reese Witherspoon’s Grecianesque gown just left us sad.
