Since its inception, it’s been produced, officially, in a myriad of interpretations by the brand (Stephen Sprouse, Murakami, etc). It’s also been produced -unofficially- in bad copies, good reproductions, fine art, on cars, even on houses. To celebrate what is almost 50 years since the mark’s design, the brand has asked Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Newson and Rei Kawakubo to take inspiration from the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram and create their own limited editions. Available in three color combinations, the black or white pump is embellished with a glittery ice cream cone in two colors. Read more
Karl Lagerfeld, who has previously designed watches for such brands as Chanel and Fendi, has just launched his own collection of watches for both men and women. Manufactured by Fossil (who has also just completed purchasing Skagen watches), the watch collection consists of seven different styles and finishes ranging from matte black to gun-metal grey and polished stainless steel.
