A Mirrored Pavilion At The Edge Of Wonderland

Constructed on Ao Nang Beach in the Krabi Provence of Thailand sits a rectangular mirrored structure that blends in with the surrounding sea, rocks and trees. A site-specific project by artist Kamin Lertchaiprasert and architect Suriya Umpansiriratana of Walllasia, the “No Sunrise, No Sunset” Pavilion meshes the physicality of the space and the spiritual aspects of love. Arkup Livable Yachts Unveils Their First Green Floating Villa

Arkup Livable Yachts has launched with Arkup #1 docked at Miami’s über exclusive Star Island. The 4,300-square-foot floating home is the first of it kind, a customized self-lifting barge, and was unveiled in April of this year. It can cruise along like a boat or can be anchored in a marina, but most notably, it can be hydraulically elevated to stand upon pilings above the water to protect you from high winds, surges and floods. The Second Home Serpentine Rainbow Pavilion At The La Brea Tar Pits

We went to check out the Second Home Pavilion, a new temporary space at the La Brea Tar Pits. The installation is a collaboration with the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles created as both an interactive art sculpture and a venue to host a program of live events over the next few months. The Latest Plans For The New LACMA!

Not many people outside of museum and architecture enthusiasts seem to know that LACMA (the Los Angeles County Museum of Art) will be demolished to make way for an entirely new and enormous building and campus starting at the end of this year. The new LACMA, whose plans are finally approved, is expected to take 5 years to build and will open in conjunction with the New Metro Purple Line subway in 2023. The Stark House in Singapore by Park & Associates

The Stark House in Singapore by architecture firm Park & Associates, completed in 2018, is situated in a typical Singaporean estate community built in the 1980s. The angular, concrete home is located in an area of interesting albeit seemingly disparate architecture. Within a 1.5km radius, the Stark House is surrounded by other structures of varying purpose and design such as the award-winning redeveloped Changi Prison Complex, Changi Airport with its Jewel, and other industrial and commercial businesses.
