I just love the good-natured attitude of these New York City cab drivers poking a little fun at themselves for a good cause. And no one does this better than Brooklyn-based husband and wife team Philip and Shannon Kirkman with their annual New York City Taxi Drivers Calendar.
2018 New York City Taxi Drivers Calendar
We posted about last year’s cute Cabbie Calendar and couldn’t wait to receive the news and images of this year’s 2018 New York City Taxi Drivers Calendar. A few of last year’s models make another appearance in this year’s calendar, along with a female driver.
The annual New York City Taxi Drivers Calendar, is a truly funny take on the traditional pin-up. The wall calendar features 12 of New York City’s most scintillating and good-humored yellow cab drivers, who manage to poke fun at the pin-up genre without looking foolish, thanks to the direction and eye of photographer Shannon Kirkman.
In addition to providing you with some serious smiles, a portion of the proceeds from each calendar sale will go to University Settlement, America’s oldest settlement house (1886). Based in New York City, University Settlement serves over 30,000 immigrants, working individuals and families every year with basic services like quality education, housing, recreation and wellness opportunities, and literacy programs.
