It hasn’t been formally advertised nor acknowledged anywhere that I could find, so I’m guessing that was part of the agreement between fashion brand Moschino and pop artist Ben Frost. But it’s clearly the Australian artist’s Lichtenstein-like artwork that appears as the textiles in both Moschino’s 2018 Fall Winter RTW collection and on the fun new capsule collection, Moschino Eyes.
Ben Frost for Moschino
The pop artist’s colorful homage to consumerism via mock cereals, candy, soda and pharmaceuticals is prevalent in Moschino’s 2018 Fall Winter RTW Collection.
In addition to the above, Moschino has launched a capsule collection called Moschino Eyes. The apparel and accessories in the capsule collection are both a nod to Ben Frost’s tragic heroines and overt consumerism as well as the undeniable talent of Moschino Creative Director Jeremy Scott. (By the way, Scott’s entire 2018 Fall Winter Collection for Moschino absolutely slays).
Moschino Eyes, The Capsule Collection.
Like the work of Ben Frost’s that we featured on our past post, the Moschino Eyes capsule collection consists of his Lichtenstein-like women atop packaged goods or paired with the brand’s logo.
Separates, handbags, fanny packs, backpacks, shoulder bags, clutches and mobile phone cases made with the same textiles as seen on the runway in the Ready To Wear collection .
