Villa Athermigo in Greece
Villa Athermigo (or Oil Press Villa), whose name derives from the unique olive oil, used to be a traditional oil press. Nestled in the greater Apokoronos Chania area, in Agios Pavlos Gavalochori, one of the most picturesque villages of Crete, it is an ancient monument and a remarkable example of local, traditional architecture.
A cluster of three cottages on one property, elements such as the main entrance, the stone openings, the interior patio, the traditional exterior oven, the well, the semi-circular arches and the original oil extraction machinery have all been preserved intact.
The three autonomous suites (named after trees on the property) have been renovated to include modern bathroom showers and sinks, air conditioning, flat screen tvs, gas iron stoves, wi-fi and beautifully appointed details.
The Villa Athermigo is rented in its entirety. The Olive tree, Pomegranate tree and Walnut tree suites (or cottages) can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests in total and all exhibit the same refreshing style and attention to detail.
Guests in all three suites share a luxurious lounge and kitchen.
The secluded private swimming pool and Jacuzzi is also for guests of all three suites.
