A record of over 16,000 design submissions were entered into fashion brand Uniqlo’s UTGP’17 Nintendo (2017 Global T-shirt Design Competition) by Nintendo fans worldwide. The twenty-five UNIQLO Nintendo T-shirt Design Winners will be produced and sold later this month and we have them all here!
UNIQLO Nintendo T-shirt Design Competition Winners
The twenty-five winning designs have been announced. Chosen by Mario Bros creator Shigeru Miyamoto and the Nintendo team, from a record of over 16,000 submissions, the winning t-shirt designs for both adults and children will be sold in Uniqlo stores beginning May 19th with early access starting online at 9pm the night before (May 18th).
Designers could choose from any of the ten major Nintendo video game characters as inspiration.
Grand Prize Winner – Takashi Kawazoe of Japan
Second Place Winner – Shino Yamazaki, Japan
Third Place Winner – David Ricardo Flores Gomez, Mexico
