Apple+ has channeled Rankin and Bass for their Ted Lasso stop-motion Christmas Short “The Missing Christmas Mustache.” The holiday message is a little over four minutes and turns all your favorite characters from the affable tv series into claymation-like versions of themselves.
Ted Lasso Stop-Motion Christmas Short
From Nate to Roy “fu*king” Kent, each of the characters in the two season series Ted Lasso on AppleTV+ have been recreated to appear like the claymation animated characters from the many Rankin/Bass Christmas productions on which many of us grew up.
When Ted realizes that his mustache is missing, potentially ruining Christmas, his friends, the team and the Diamond Dogs all try to step in and try to help. Like the series, the tale is one of support, friendship, acceptance and belief … peppered with the humor we’ve come to know and love as Ted Lasso.
