Talking Tables from Reinier Bosch

Oh how we love typographic furniture. So it’s no surprise that we are drawn to the coffee tables and consoles in the Reinier Bosch Letter Series.

Reinier Bosch Letter Series

For his ‘Letter’ series of conceptual furniture, Dutch designer Reinier Bosch took his inspiration from luminous street advertisements and famous pop-art paintings of comic book panels by Lichtenstein. In the ‘Letters’ series, the designs of functional tables, cabinets and consoles each piece refers to a different emotion, usually in the form of onomatopoeia.

Playing with both an idea of excessiveness and mystery, Reinier Bosch uses neon letters to express himself but also to attract and persuade people. He captures these giant letters, that are synonymous with size and a certain idea of contemporary globalization, and brings them into domestic life.

The Letter series is a series of furniture made from letters in steel and plexiglass.
