It’s the 49th year that Italian tire company Pirelli has put out their coveted art calendar, but for the first time all the featured models are musicians. The On The Road Pirelli Calendar was shot by Bryan Adams, who may be best known as a performer but whose second career is photography.

On The Road Pirelli Calendar

The annual art calendars from Pirelli are best known for titillating imagery and NSFW photos. Not this year. The 2022 Pirelli calendar stars the likes of Cher, Iggy Pop, Rita Ora and Jennifer Hudson, to name a few of the ten performers – and they all keep their clothes on. Mostly.

This year’s theme is On The Road, a study of the lives of touring musicians- a subject to which the photographer can relate. The images were photographed at two Los Angeles Landmarks: The 110 year old downtown Palace Theater and the well-known Hollywood hotel-to-the-stars, the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Boulevard.
