Congratulations to Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth who finally wed after ten years of on and off dating in a secret ceremony on December 23rd. The pop star shared the news of the nuptials, which took place in her hometown of Nashville, via photos on her Instagram feed.

The couple met in 2008 while filming The Last Song, an adaptation of the novel written by Nicholas Sparks. Sparks offered his congratulations to the couple on Twitter, writing, “this makes me so happy” in response to Cyrus’ post.

But Cyrus and Hemsworth’s relationship wasn’t always smooth sailing. They got engaged in 2012 but broke up a year later before rekindling their romance in 2015.

Of the breakup, Cyrus explained she “needed go change so much”, telling Billboard that the duo had to “re-fall for each other”.

Producer Mark Ronson, with whom Cyrus has just released a song, also congratulated the couple by posting the video below of himself singing along to a version of “here comes the Bride” while playing the guitar:

Cyrus also tagged producer Mark Ronson in an Instagram story from the wedding, offering fans a frontal view of her gown.
