If you weren’t aware, May 4th has been heralded (unofficially) as Star Wars Day. In honor of this day, I’m sharing with you fashion label Rodarte’s couture Star Wars Gowns from their Fall Winter collection that are really… pardon the pun, out of this world.
Rodarte Star Wars Gowns
We’ve seen some ugly, overpriced Star Wars fashions from Commes des Garçons and some odd fashions that incorporate the image of Darth Vader from Preen. But these Star Wars inspired clothes are actually beautiful. The five formal gowns, which feature classic silhouettes and digitally printed imagery of Yoda, Luke Skywalker, C3PO, the Death Star and the Suns of Tatooine on silk, have actually been sanctioned and trademarked by Lucasfilms Ltd.

The gowns were the finale of the runway show. You can view the entire show in the video below:
Sadly, the sweeping silk Star Wars gowns are not for sale but will be available for production and editorial shoots.
