It’s Memorial Day and along with remembering those who have bravely served in any capacity for this country, our thoughts often turn to BBQs and Grills. As we start to usher out Spring and welcome in Summer, we felt it was the perfect time to introduce you to the Barrow, a combination BBQ Grill and Fire Pit that is truly a thing of beauty.
The Barrow Grill and Fire Pit
A cross between a wheelbarrow and a grill, the Barrow has a clean, modern silhouette and design aesthetic that makes it fit into the most beautiful of backyards.
The Barrow was designed by German award-winning product designers Rudolph Schelling Webermann (RSW) for Konstantin Slawinski and won the company a prestigious iF Design Award.
The sculptural looking Barrow can be wheeled to any spot on the patio or in the garden as easily as a wheelbarrow. It’s made of black lacquered stainless steel with a wheel of solid oak and makes a great looking fire pit around which to sit. Turn the handle, add the rust-proof stainless steel cooking grate and plate, and it’s a grill.
The bowl’s circumference is a large 70cm (27.5 inches) giving you plenty of cooking surface or room for wood. Not only is it easy to maneuver, but its low height makes it operable while seated, so you don’t even have to get your butt up to stoke the fire or flip that burger.
Use it for both. After a meal of BBQ ribs and grilled corn on the cob, you can then relax around the fire bowl for a fantastic summer evening!
