A big fan of Timorous Beasties textile design studio, I was thrilled to see they’ve collaborated with LINN audio products to produce the Linn Timorous Beasties Collection, a range of customizable fabric covered speakers for two of the UK brand’s music system models.
Linn Timorous Beasties Collection
Timorous Beasties, the beautifully hip textile design studio run by Alistair McAuley and Paul Simmons, was invited by world-renowned music systems manufacturer Linn to collaborate on a series of speaker covers for Linn’s Series 5 music system.
Nature, insects and rorschach blots – common themes from the Glasgow design studio – were hand-printed at the Timorous Beasties studio or digitally printed at Glasgow School of Art’s Centre for Advanced Textiles onto specially made Linn Fabrik, combining expert craftsmanship and design innovation without compromise.
The Linn Timorous Beasties Collection features 10 designs in a choice of two music system models: 530 System ($19,760 ex. tax) and 520 System ($15,360ex. tax).
The fabric for the speaker covers are specially designed, with light and open weave patterns that allow the music to come through.

In addition to the 10 fabric options from Timorous Beasties, they have other colors and patterns to choose from including Harris Tweed.
