Quelle Fête is a series objet d’arts created by design firm ROTGANZEN that can be seen in public venues as an art installation, as part of a collaborative furniture collection and are sold separately on a smaller scale. The object represents a playful image of days gone by and a melancholic reminder of the glamour nights of disco. The amorphous shapes are covered, through painstaking creaftmanshop, with a carefully arranged glittering skin of mirrored glass tiles. Exhibited last year, just as the Pandemic was beginning, the Altman Siegel gallery in San Francisco featured his Sleeping Bags and down-filled “Power Vests” created with scarves acquired from former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, turning the objects into socio-political statements about economic status, fashion and tech culture.
