Designer Paul Smith, known for his use of colors and modern style, has once again collaborated with British brand Anglepoise for a second limited edition version of their classic Type 75 desk lamp.

The new Edition Two, which is available for pre-order now and ships next month, has deeper jewel-like hues than the first, evoking the feel of Autumn. A little more restrained than the first edition in terms of color, it combines deep slate, cool grey and a bold orange accent.

Like the first, this new one is a testament to this designer’s ability in instilling modernity and new life into a well-loved design classic.
Edition One, which combines the colors of cornflower, fuchsia and lime is still available as well.

Seen in tandem, each desk lamp assumes a distinct and contrasting identity, helped, no doubt, by the anthropomorphic form of the lamps themselves: Edition One the more playful, perhaps more feminine of the two, Edition Two its stunning new counterpart.
Like Edition one, Edition two has also been designed by Sir Kenneth Grange and has the following features:
– Matte paint or brushed aluminum finish
– Aluminum shade
– Aluminum arms
– Chrome plated fittings
– Cast iron base with aluminum cover
– Anglepoise® constant tension spring technology
