Chitapanya has created several pieces for MASAYA, a line within the Asia Collection Co. that combines stylish refined designs with solid wood, marble tops, and bronze bases. But these two pieces are by far the most artistic and aesthetically unusual.

With an admitted fascination for the compositional details of feathers, Apiwat decided to design a Feathers Collection consisting of an end table and a coffee table for the Thailand based company.

Similar to sculptures handmade piece by piece, the Feather tables require skilled craftsmanship to weld the small stainless steel pieces together in order to create a composition of feathers. This final welded element acts as the base of the table, supporting the tops.

Feather Wall art is presently being created to accompany the tables:

Both tables have hand-made tops. One of laser cut steel, the other wood. The Feather tables give the sensation that they are almost light enough to fly.
