Hoping to get $50,000 to manufacture his cooler, created to be the ultimate portable party pack, he’s raised a record-breaking $10,754,218 from over 50,000 backers.

Try, Try Again.
An example of what ‘never giving up’ can achieve, this isn’t their first attempt at raising funds on Kickstarter. They narrowly missed their fundraising mark in December, so they tried again – this time returning with a vengeance. In their own words “The ‘Coolest’ body has been completely redesigned – the blender is more powerful, the speaker is louder and the total capacity is even bigger. Combine that with a shorter lead time, a lower funding goal great rewards and we’ve got a recipe for a summertime Kickstarter blockbuster.” And it seems to have worked.

Mashable reports that “All in all, just 12 projects held the title of being Kickstarter’s top-funded campaign in its five-year history. Pebble held on to the top spot for more than two years, and seemed nearly untouchable with its $10 million-plus funding total. Now, Grepper and his Coolest Cooler are the 13th project to hold the title.”
